Meet Dr. Joshua J. Gooden, OD

Upon graduation from Scott Community High School, Joshua Gooden attended Tabor College,

continuing on to complete his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  He returned to western Kansas, practicing in Oakley prior to purchasing the practice in Scott City. Dr. Gooden provides a variety of eye care services including comprehensive routine exams for glasses and contacts, evaluations for diabetics and other medical conditions, and glaucoma and macular degeneration testing and management. He is embarking on his 26th year of practice, while participating in a number of key roles in Scott City, such as City Council and Council president and active member of the Scott County Economic Development.  Dr. Gooden is married to his wife, Janeen, and they have four sons, Dexter, Parker, Carter and Tanner.
